Artist statement
My artistic practice is rooted in the conviction that art generates knowledge. Operating within the logic of Artistic Research, I explore the interplay of material, place and time through an investigative process of field studies, staged photography and studio experimentation.
I conceptualize my works as 'visual notes' through which stories and narratives become visible and articulable, providing a foundation to bring them into dialogue.
In a consistent extension of this inquiry and in the spirit of the 'social turn', I treat exhibitions as social events and spaces for interaction.
Ultimately, my practice seeks to manifest art as embodied philosophy.
